About Mr Gethin Lavery
Gethin Lavery is a Physiotherapist at The Medical in Newport. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and has additional training with a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Massage. His early role was as a Sports Physiotherapist for Pontypool RFC in the Welsh Rugby Championship, where he was involved in the treatment and prevention of sporting injuries as well as providing pitch-side cover on matchdays. During this time, he developed an adaptable approach to rehabilitation, helping players manage recovery alongside full-time employment. Gethin’s clinical interests include sports injury prevention, rehabilitation, and restoring function across a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
