Fiona Butterworth joined the team as an Audiologist in 2018 and is now one of the Clinical Leads at Harley Street Hearing and Musicians' Hearing Services. Since the age of 6, Fiona has played multiple instruments and enjoys keeping up her musical endeavours in her spare time. She first studied a joint honours undergraduate degree in Acoustical Engineering and Music, where her primary study was bassoon (with some dabbling on contrabassoon when her schedule allowed). She began her Audiology master’s in 2016 at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research shortly after completing her undergraduate degree there. Fiona combines her experience as a musician with her audiological expertise, offering first-hand insight into the challenges of maintaining clear and health hearing in loud, sound-rich environments.
Fiona is a Registered Hearing Aid Dispenser and a dedicated and experienced clinical audiologist who merges her background in music and acoustics with professional audiology, ideal for musicians and performing artists seeking tailored hearing care, protection, and support.
