About
Dr. Cornish graduated from the University of Sydney with Honours in Science and a PhD in Retinal Development. She completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney and undertook her general ophthalmology training within the Sydney Eye Hospital network. She further specialised through training in Medical Retina, Uveitis, Glaucoma, and Inherited Eye Diseases at Sydney Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London.
She holds positions as a Consultant Eye Surgeon and Staff Specialist at Sydney Eye Hospital and Westmead Hospital. Additionally, she is an Associate Professor at the University of Sydney, involved in teaching ophthalmology registrars and medical students. Dr. Cornish is part of the Inherited Eye Disease Unit at the Save Sight Institute, with a particular interest in retinal electrophysiology.
Her academic work includes extensive publication in peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals. She participates actively in clinical and basic science research and serves as an investigator in clinical trials investigating new therapies for retinal and uveitic conditions.
