Professor Zachary Whinnett, Consultant Cardiologist, currently works within the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. He is very experienced in treating and diagnosing pacing, heart rhythm disturbances, and heart failure. He is highly proficient in performing ablation for arrhythmias (atrial and ventricular) and implantation of medical devices (pacemakers, cardiac resynchronisation devices, and defibrillators).

Prof Whinnett is widely recognised as an expert in medical device implantation and treatment of heart rhythm disorders. He is recognised globally for this knowledge and is regularly invited to speak at conferences around the world. He also spends time training and teaching other cardiologists on advanced techniques for pacemaker implantation.

Prof Whinnett is also a very active researcher, leading a research program at Imperial College London which is attempting to develop better treatment for heart rhythm disorders. He has an extensive publication history.
