His specialised interests further extend to heart failure and cardiac imaging, where he performs echocardiograms, stress echo, transoesophageal echo, bubble contrast echo, and cardiac CT, including calcium scoring and full CT coronary angiograms.

Dr Takeda has specialist expertise in heart failure, serving as the heart failure enhancing quality lead for Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. He pursued  impactful research on valvular heart disease during his tenure as a research fellow at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, resulting in international publications.

Dr Takeda's additional areas of expertise include cardiac imaging and echocardiography, with which he played a pivotal role in developing the stress echo service at Maidstone Hospital and established CT coronary angiography at the new Tunbridge Wells Hospital. Alongside these, he has also contributed in the area of cardiac pacing, having developed the complex device service, including ICDs and biventricular pacemakers, at Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells.
