Dr. Ransford has played an instrumental role in establishing the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, making it one of the most successful in England. He is the only accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist in Herefordshire.
Dr. Ransford has extensive experience in treating a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions such as dyspepsia, reflux disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), coeliac disease, and anaemia. He is highly skilled in endoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy, offering comprehensive care for these conditions. He is actively involved in clinical research and has held leadership positions, including Clinical Guidelines Lead and Guidelines Associate Editor for the British Society of Gastroenterology's journal Gut.
Dr. Ransford is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and a Member of the British Society of Gastroenterology. He is also the Treasurer of the Midlands Gastroenterological Society and a Member of the British Medical Association.
