Dr Rebecca Lane is a consultant interventional cardiologist at Harefield Hospital who treats private and NHS patients.
She qualified from St George's Hospital Medical School, London, and completed her specialist cardiology training with the London Deanery. She has worked at Harefield Hospital since 2004, and was appointed as a consultant in 2008.
Clinical expertise
Dr Rebecca Lane has extensive experience in managing patients with coronary artery disease, valve disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
She is the clinical lead for the heart failure, pacing and device services at Harefield Hospital. She developed and runs the rapid access heart failure clinic working closely with a team of specialist heart failure nurses.
She has extensive experience in device implantation incorporating all types of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy or biventricular pacing. Dr Lane is the primary implanter of a number of new leadless pacing technologies. She also regularly performs laser lead extraction.
Other areas of expertise include coronary angioplasty. She routinely performs primary angioplasty (PPCI) as part of the highly renowned heart attack service at Harefield Hospital.
