About Prof Peter George
Professor Peter George studied at Imperial College London and received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2005. Professor George then trained in respiratory and general medicine at the most prestigious centres in London. He completed his specialist training at Hammersmith and Royal Brompton hospitals in London and at the National Jewish Health Hospital in Denver, Colorado, USA. Professor George was awarded an academic clinical fellowship in respiratory medicine at Imperial College London. With funding from the Medical Research Council, he completed his PhD on the role of the immune system in pulmonary inflammation. Professor George carries out his NHS work at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London where he is the Clinical Lead of the Interstitial Lung Disease Unit. He is active in teaching and research, supervising higher degrees and frequently lecturing internationally. He holds the position of Professor of Practice (Respiratory Medicine) at Imperial College London. Professor George sees private patients at the Royal Brompton Hospital, 77 Wimpole Street, OneWelbeck and the BUPA Cromwell Hospital as well as via video or telephone consultation
