Dr Neha Sekhri is a Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. She has extensive experience in both inpatient and outpatient care and has a particular interest in heart failure, as well as inherited, acquired and inflammatory cardiomyopathies.
Dr Sekhri is also a specialist in cardiac imaging, with a focus on cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). She performs cardiac MRI at Barts Heart Centre and The London Independent Hospital, and is also highly experienced in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography. Her clinical interests further include the management of angina, valve disease and advanced heart failure.
Dr Sekhri completed her medical degree in India before undertaking doctoral research at Queen Mary University of London. Her PhD focused on prognosis in patients with chest pain and angina, analysing data from over 10,000 patients. This research has been widely published and has informed national healthcare policy.
She completed her specialist cardiology training at Barts Health NHS Trust, where she was appointed Consultant Cardiologist in 2012. Alongside her clinical work, Dr Sekhri is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and remains actively involved in academic research and teaching.
