Dr Patel specialises in the management of all aspects of diabetes care including but not limited to gastroparesis, intestinal enteropathy, diabetic foot disease, diabetic renal disease.
Dr Patel has a private company called 'Go Doc' that advises health and wellness start-up businesses and helps them to enter the NHS market. She has also created a diabetes lifestyle course which will be available soon on the Go Doc platform. Dr Patel takes a holistic approach to medicine and includes nutritional and lifestyle treatments in her practice.
Dr Patel gained her medical degree in 1999 from Charing Cross Medical School in London following her initial degree in neuroscience. She later completed an MBA at Imperial College Business School. Dr Patel's previous posts include a consultant in diabetes and acute medicine at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where she specialised in diabetic podiatry, type 1 diabetes, inpatient diabetes, and community diabetes.
