With a wealth of expertise in treating children with a wide range of neurological conditions, she provides comprehensive care to her young patients. Dr Awadalla's primary focus lies in the management of epilepsies and epileptic encephalopathies. Her areas of specialisation also iclude headaches, neurodegenerative conditions, cerebral palsy and spasticity, acute neurological problems, and various other neurological conditions. Dr Awadalla completed her medical degree at Ain Shams University, Egypt in 1994. After completing three years of basic training in paediatrics and earning a Masters degree in Paediatrics from a tertiary university hospital in Egypt, she relocated to Glasgow, Scotland. There, she underwent further training in paediatrics, neonatology, and neurology for an additional three years. In 2003, Dr Awadalla was awarded her Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. Dr Awadalla returned to Egypt to complete her PhD degree in Paediatrics. She then embarked on her higher training in paediatric neurology from 2004 to 2009, during which she served as a clinical lecturer and engaged in research activities. In 2008, she received her Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. In 2010, Dr Awadalla became an Associate Professor of Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology at Ain Shams University Egypt, alongside her consultant position. Dr Awadalla later moved to Saudi Arabia, where she worked as a consultant in paediatric neurology at military hospitals, including King Faisal Hospital, and also served in the private sector in Jeddah until 2013. Following the completion of her CESR (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) in paediatric neurology, she relocated to the UK. Since then, Dr Awadalla has been serving as a Consultant Paediatric Neurologist at the Royal London Hospital for the past 12 years, providing exceptional care to her patients. She also sees private patients at The Portland Hospital.
