About
She treats a variety of children's eye problems including eyelid and tear duct problems, prescription of glasses, treatment and correction of squint and performs surgical procedures on the eyes as day case surgery.
In her clinics, Ms Dhir is supported by highly skilled orthoptists who specialise in the assessment of children's eyesight and eye movements. Ms Dhir can test for a need for glasses in children, including in infants.
Ms Dhir is a very experienced Ophthalmologist and leads the Paediatric Ophthalmology service at Chelsea and Westminster hospital. The scope of her practice includes treating children with congenital eye and vision problems, eyelid and lacrimal (watery eye) conditions, cataracts and eye disease including problems associated with diabetes and allergy. The care of children with squint and amblyopia (lazy eye) is her particular area of expertise and Ms Dhir also provides screening for retinal problems in premature babies.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
