She qualified from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School in London, before going on to obtain her postgraduate qualifications in child health, obstetrics and gynaecology and the membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. She worked as a Partner in a Northwest London GP practice for 27 years and still maintains a working link with the NHS.
