Dr. Layla Al-Nakib is a Consultant Paediatrician with more than 35 years of experience in the NHS and over 30 years of specialist practice in Paediatric Neurodisability and Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics.

She also trains and assesses paediatricians working towards consultant roles in the UK.
She completed her MRCPCH in 1998 and was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (FRCPCH) in 2011.
In addition to her NHS work, Dr. Al-Nakib has over 18 years of private practice, specialising in the assessment and management of ADHD, autism, and sleep difficulties in children and adolescents. She is a trained Sleep Practitioner with The Sleep Charity and has particular expertise in supporting young people with autism who experience sleep challenges.
Her clinical interests include ADHD alongside learning disabilities, and she manages a wide range of complex presentations with a thoughtful and family-centred approach.
Dr. Al-Nakib is passionate about nurturing neurodiversity and strongly believes that early identification and support are key to helping children achieve the best possible outcomes.
