About Dr Jonathan Valentine
Dr Jonathan Valentine is a consultant in pain medicine based in Norfolk, Norwich and London. Dr Valentine is specialised in diagnosing and treating of a wide range of chronic pain conditions, including the following: • Neck pain • Back pain • Post-surgical pain • Joint pain • Cancer pain • Fibromyalgia He has special interest in the management of these chronic pain conditions and pain medication for those who do not want major surgeries. He currently practices as a Consultant Pain Specialist at the following private hospitals and clinics • Spire Norwich Hospital, Norwich NR4 7TD • London Bridge Hospital, SE1 2PR He is also the Founder and Chairman of the Medicolegal Practice, Pain Expert Limited, UK. Dr Valentine is skilled in creating post-operative pain management plans and personalises them to fit the needs of each individual patient. This includes managing the pain experienced leading up to the surgery. He received his MBChB in 1986 from the University of Leeds and soon after became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 1989 and later became a Fellow. He also began a Fellowship at the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1992 and a Foundation Fellowship in the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2007. Dr Valentine is also a member of the following professional bodies and organisations: • British Pain Society • International Association for the Study of Pain • Anglian Regional Pain Management Training • Anglian Pain Society (Founder and Chairman) • Neuromodulation Society of UK and Ireland (Founding Member) • British Pain Society Medicolegal Special Interest Group (Co-Founder and Chairman) • Pain Expert Limited (Founder and Director) It is important that HCA is transparent about our relationship with those doctors who provide us with clinical guidance on delivering the best possible care to patients and operating our hospitals safely and efficiently.
