About

Dr Jonathan Power is a Consultant in Sports and Exercise Medicine working for England Football and clinics across the UK and abroad. He specialises in musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries to patients of all ages. He has worked with both professional athletes and non-athletic patients, however he is determined to deliver high standards of care to all his patients.

He takes into consideration the muscle disorder and puts together an effective treatment plan to aid in the patient's recovery and rehabilitation in the best way possible. He uses a range of diagnostic devices including MRI and CT scans, and despite taking on a non-surgical approach he also has connections with surgeons if required.

Dr Power qualified in 2001 from the University of Leeds and subsequently achieved his MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Nottingham. He then undertook his postgraduate training in Yorkshire where he was awarded a Macleod Medal for the best performance in the diploma examination.

He has previously worked with players in the England rugby team, team GB during the London Olympics and Australian Youth Olympics. He has also led medical services for Leeds Rhinos and Yorkshire Carnegie.
