About Dr John Gordon
Dr Gordon qualified from the Royal Free Hospital in London in 1993. Following this, they undertook their early postgraduate training in London, and then Australia, before joining the Wessex Specialist Gastroenterology Training Programme working in Portsmouth, Southampton, and Winchester. Dr Gordon spent 4 years developing their research interest with Professor Tom McDonald in Southampton. In 2006, they were awarded a DM for their research into novel therapeutic targets in Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Dr Gordon was awarded a DM by the University of Southampton in 2006 for research looking at novel therapeutic targets in Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Dr Gordon has published extensively in the field of inflammatory bowel disease and coeliac disease. Their particular interests are luminal gastroenterology including inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, and GI cancer along with interventional endoscopy and ERCP.
