I am a Consultant Endocrinologist, Diabetologist and Acute Physician at Tameside Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where I've been caring for patients since 2010. Over that time, I've built a practice focused on getting to the root of complex conditions and working with you to find the right approach — whether that's managing your weight, balancing

your hormones, or taking control of your diabetes.    

What I Specialise In  


Obesity & Weight Management — A compassionate, evidence-based approach to weight that goes beyond "eat less, move more." I look at the hormonal, metabolic and lifestyle factors that make weight management so personal. 

Male Hypogonadism — Helping men navigate symptoms such as fatigue, low mood and reduced vitality, with honest conversations about diagnosis and treatment. 

Thyroid Disorders — From an underactive or overactive thyroid to thyroid nodules, I offer thorough assessment and clear, straightforward guidance on your options. 

Parathyroid Disorders — An often-overlooked area I have expertise in, including conditions affecting calcium balance, Vitamin D deficiency and bone health. 

Type 2 Diabetes — Helping you understand your condition and find a management plan that fits your life, from lifestyle changes to the latest medications.    


My Approach 

I believe good medicine starts with listening. Many of my patients come to me after years of feeling that something isn't quite right, and I take time to piece together the full picture. I have a specialist research background in diabetic neuropathy and foot complications —

work I carried out as a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Manchester — and that curiosity and thoroughness runs through everything I do in clinic.  

In addition to my clinical work, I am deeply involved in medical education. I hold a  senior lecturer position at the University of Manchester, where I continues to contribute to medical education.
