Dr Elliot Smith, Consultant Cardiologist, is currently working within the Barts Heart Centre and the Royal Free Hospital, London. Dr Smith began his training at Guys and St Thomas' Hospitals, before specialising in Cardiology at Hospitals in Manchester and London (Manchester Royal Infirmary and the London Chest Hospital). He practises as an interventional cardiologist where he performs Coronary Angiography and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention procedures. He is also very experienced in performing Rotational Atherectomy and the minimally invasive treatment of longstanding arterial blockages (CTOs). He is the Clinical Lead for the Complex Coronary Revascularisation Program at Bart's NHS Trust. He is world-renowned for his expertise and regularly travels to Europe, Asia or the Middle East to train fellow cardiologists in these procedures.
He is an active researcher focusing on Chronic Total Occlusions (CTO) and Percutaneous Haemodynamic Support. He is invited to participate in conferences and demonstrations globally.
