About Dr Diab Haddad
Dr Diab Haddad is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician with over two decades of expertise in allergic and respiratory disorders. He has led the Respiratory and Allergy Service at St Peter’s Hospital in Surrey for more than 20 years, providing highly specialised care for children with complex respiratory symptoms, asthma, food allergies, anaphylaxis and other immune-mediated conditions. After completion of his undergraduate medical training, Dr Haddad enrolled in paediatric training in Jordan and Scotland. He was appointed as a Consultant Paediatrician in London in 1997. He has held honorary consultant positions at both the Royal Brompton Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital, further strengthening his expertise in paediatric respiratory and allergic disease. He is also an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London. An active contributor to research and medical education, Dr Haddad has authored numerous publications on topics including anaphylaxis, nut allergy and diagnostic allergy testing. He has written several book chapters and served as editor for a paediatric textbook. With a broad general paediatric background and specialist knowledge in allergies and respiratory medicine, Dr Haddad offers a comprehensive and integrated approach to children’s healthcare. He is known for his ability to consider the child’s symptoms holistically, reducing the need for multiple referrals and increasing the likelihood of reaching a clear, unifying diagnosis. Having worked within healthcare systems across several countries, Dr Haddad brings a deep appreciation for the importance of the doctor–family relationship. He places great emphasis on listening to children and their families, recognising that their lived experience often holds the key to understanding the condition and guiding effective treatment.
"Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions."
