Mr Daniel Engelke is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon. After studying at the universities of Berlin, Chicago and Wuerzburg, Mr Engelke graduated with a doctorate in medicine in 1995. They have held a prominent role within the Gloucestershire Orthopaedic and Trauma Department. Mr Engelke's extensive experience and sought after surgical skills have led to them teaching other Orthopaedic Surgeons locally and on multiple regional, national and international courses. They have been a member of the AO faculty since 2013, has been active member of the British Orthopaedic Trauma society (OTS), is a member of the BOA trauma committee and the national hip fracture review lead.

Mr Engelke has directed several courses on upper limb surgery and trauma. They have also been on the development panel for a shoulder prosthesis in the UK. They have been an ATLS (Advanced Trauma and Life Support) trainer since 2011. Mr Engelke is a member of the British Elbow and Shoulder Society.

He has an interest in Upper limb Surgery, including shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist as well as trauma and sports trauma of the upper limb.
