Dr. Sarkhel has training in Adult Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Learning Disability, Forensic Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Substance Abuse. He then completed specialist Registrar training in Adult Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry. He has published a number of research articles in peer-reviewed journals and is an examiner for The Royal College of Psychiatrists.
He has a particular interest in stress-related disorders and has a strong emphasis on Evidence-Based Practice.
Dr. Sarkhel is also trained in Medical Acupuncture which he uses as adjunctive treatment for various Psychiatric Disorders and Chronic Pain.
His latest addition to Living Mind is providing Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) for Depression, Anxiety Disorders and many other conditions in Harley Street clinic. He was a member of Clinical TMS Society headquartered in California. He attends regular seminars and webinars on TMS.
Integration of complementary therapies and orthodox treatment is his main passion when it comes to mental health care for his patients.
