Andrew Bowden has been a Consultant rheumatologist for 25 years at Northern Care Alliance NHS Group. He graduated from Birmingham in 1988. He was a former Senior Registrar and Lecturer at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Hope Hospitals. He was appointed Consultant Rheumatologist at Bury and Rochdale Hospitals in 2000. 

His areas of interest include Inflammatory joint and soft tissue disorders as well as Rheumatoid arthritis/Spondyloarthropathies. He takes a keen interest in Degenerative joint and soft tissue disorders; osteoarthritis/frozen shoulder/tendonitis; Osteoporosis; Connective tissue disorders/autoimmune disease.
