Dr Kafetzis completed his medical degree (MBBS) at the Democritus University of Thrace in Greece in 2000 before relocating to the United Kingdom for further training in reproductive medicine. He went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine from University College London in 2011, graduating with Distinction. His academic and clinical background provides a strong foundation in the genetic, hormonal, and physiological factors influencing fertility and reproductive outcomes.
Dr Kafetzis’ clinical work focuses on the evaluation and management of complex fertility concerns, including unexplained infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and implantation failure. He provides treatment across a wide range of assisted reproductive technologies, including IVF, ICSI, and approaches tailored to natural or mild stimulation cycles.
His areas of expertise also include egg quality and ovarian reserve assessment, fertility preservation, and advanced genetic testing such as PGT-A and PGT-M. He manages hormonal and metabolic fertility conditions, including PCOS and endometriosis, and is trained in advanced ultrasound and reproductive endocrinology.
