Dr. Dermot O'Callaghan is a consultant respiratory and general physician. A graduate of University College Dublin, the doctor completed an MD thesis in lung cancer molecular biology at Trinity College Dublin. The doctor was subsequently awarded a European Respiratory Society scholarship and completed a fellowship at the Centre de R��f��rence de l'Hypertension Pulmonaire S��v��re in Paris, France.
The doctor's main clinical and research interests include lung cancer and interventional pulmonology, pulmonary vascular disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The doctor is the lead respiratory physician for lung cancer and has established the Lung Rapid Access Clinic for the assessment of patients with suspected lung cancer.
The doctor has published more than 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters and is an associate editor of the European Respiratory Journal and International Journal of Clinical Practice.
