He then completed a Harvard Fellowship in Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, USA, and a Paediatric Orthopaedic Hip Fellowship at Shriners Hospital in Portland, Oregon, USA.
Dr Paterson has performed over 3,500 hip and knee replacements and is recognised for his commitment to evidence-based surgery, combined with a patient-focused approach that ensures care is tailored to individual needs. In addition to his civilian practice, he serves as an Orthopaedic Surgeon with the Australian Army Reserve, holding the rank of Major.
