At the Eye Unit UHS, Mr. Inzerillo is the Lead for the Intravitreal Treatment Service for macular degeneration, and Clinical Governance Lead for ophthalmology.

His special interests include small-incision, sutureless Cataract surgery and Medical Retina, with expertise in managing Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vein Occlusion, and Central Serous Retinopathy (CSR).

He commonly treats patients experiencing vision loss due to macular diseases,

offering personalized treatment plans that may include Intravitreal Injections,

Argon laser therapy, or Photo-Dynamic Therapy (PDT), depending on the most

suitable approach.

Mr. Inzerillo is pleased to announce that Visudyne for PDT laser treatment is now

available again after a worldwide shortage. Patients requiring PDT for Central

Serous Retinopathy (CSR) can now book a day appointment through his secretary.

As highly experienced Cataract surgeon, he has extensive expertise in multifocal

lens implants, enabling patients to achieve excellent vision with greater

independence from glasses.

He also offers YAG Laser treatment for Posterior Capsular Opacities (PCO) also known as secondary cataract as well as Peripheral Iridotomies for Glaucoma.

Outside his clinical work, Mr. Inzerillo has been actively involved in charity projects

across Africa, Central, and South America. More recently, he led a charity

initiative in Mombasa, Kenya, in collaboration with the Department of

International Development, Tropical Health and Education Trust, and Vision

2020, aimed at improving infection prevention and control standards.

Mr. Inzerillo obtained his medical degree from the University Hospital of Palermo,

Italy, in 1999, and specialized in Ophthalmology in 2004. He is also a member

of the British Medical Association.
