Dr Clare Spencer
General Practice (GP)
About
In addition to her role as Clinical Director at My Menopause Centre, Dr. Spencer manages an NHS menopause service and is a partner at a general practice in Leeds. She is deeply committed to educating general practitioners about the menopause transition, regularly delivering talks, lectures, and seminars. She has also contributed to menopause training modules and pathways for various publications, including doctors.net, the Primary Care Women's Health forum's "Her Life Her Health," and the Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust.
Dr. Spencer's journey into menopause specialisation began when she recognised the need for increased awareness and understanding of menopause among her patients. Witnessing how menopausal symptoms negatively affected various aspects of their lives, she decided to become a Menopause GP. Through her clinical practice and as a co-founder of My Menopause Centre, Dr. Clare Spencer is dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting women at all stages of their menopause transition.
“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
