Dr Christian Mussap is an Interventional Cardiologist. They are a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand, and an Associate Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr Mussap is credentialed in coronary and peripheral vascular interventions. Dr Mussap was awarded a PhD in the field of vasoactive neuropeptide pharmacology. Their clinical research interests include endovascular intervention, imaging (including coronary CT), and outcomes following therapy for acute coronary syndromes.
Dr Mussap is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer and a senior examiner for the RACP. They are actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. They have been awarded Clinical Tutor of the Year. Currently, Dr Mussap (co-)supervises several ILP and PhD students. Dr Mussap is a principal investigator for several multicentre international clinical trials. They have published many research papers in peer-review journals and have authored review articles and book chapters. Dr Mussap is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Interventional Cardiology and regularly reviews manuscript submissions for international journals.
