About

Dr. Caroline Walsh is a dedicated specialist in the field of gynaecology, known for her comprehensive expertise and commitment to patient care. She completed her Medical Degree with Honours at University College Dublin in 2005.
Caroline underwent Specialist Obstetrics and Gynecology training in Ireland, honing her skills in managing a wide range of gynaecological conditions. In 2014, she was selected for the prestigious Fellowship in Urogynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women, where she received specialised training in pelvic floor disorders, including prolapse and urinary incontinence.
Following the completion of her Fellowship, Caroline pursued advanced training in Sydney, Australia, where she undertook an Advanced Gynaecology Endoscopy Fellowship at the renowned Sydney Women’s Endosurgery Centre (SWEC). This intensive program developed her expertise in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery.
Caroline's passion for General Gynaecology is evident in her practice, where she addresses a range of issues including heavy menstrual bleeding, cervical screening, contraception, menopause, and colposcopy. Her diverse skill set allows her to offer comprehensive care tailored to the individual needs of each patient. In addition to her private practice at Empower Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Caroline holds a public appointment as an Obstetrician Gynaecologist at Mercy Hospital for Women.
Caroline is a firm believer in informed patient choice and prioritises open communication with her patients. She ensures that each individual is equipped with the knowledge needed to make informed decisions about their care, empowering them to achieve their best possible quality of life.

“Evidence-based care tailored to each patient — taking the time to explain options and shared decisions.”
