About Mr Aris Konstantopoulos
Mr Aris Konstantopoulos is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. He runs private clinics at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital, Eastleigh and Spire Southampton Hospital, Southampton and Boots Opticians, Lymington High St. Aris has expertise in cataract, refractive lens replacement and laser eye surgery. He provides both lens based and refractive laser options for your vision correction, tailoring the treatment to your eyes and lifestyle needs. He completed his medical degree at the University of Glasgow in 1999, followed by specialist training in ophthalmology in hospitals of the Oxford and Wessex Deanery. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in 2013. After becoming fascinated with the beauty of the cornea, he completed 2 years of advanced fellowship training on corneal conditions at University Hospital Southampton and the University of Southampton. Aris was awarded his PhD degree by the University of Southampton in 2017 for research on corneal imaging. He completed further subspecialty training in refractive surgery and lamellar corneal transplantation with a fellowship at the Singapore National Eye Centre. Aris has expertise in the following areas: • Cataract surgery with toric and / or multifocal lenses • Lens replacement surgery • Laser eye surgery: LASIK, SMILE, PRESBYOND blended vision • Keratoconus • Collagen cross linking • Intacs corneal rings • YAG laser capsulotomy
