Dr Annette Webb is a General Paediatrician, Paediatric Gastroenterologist and Clinical Hypnotherapist & Psychotherapist at Offspring Health, also with appointments at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in the Department of Gastroenterology.

Dr Webb completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne in 1993, followed by her specialist paediatric training at the Royal Children's Hospital in 2003 and her subspecialty training in paediatric gastroenterology in 2006. She was later appointed as a Paediatric Gastroenterologist at the Royal Children's Hospital, Monash Hospital and Cabrini Hospital where she delivered endoscopy services for both children and adolescents until 2011. Dr Webb later was awarded her Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, followed by her MD, by the University of Melbourne for her work surrounding novel therapies for IBS in children and adolescents. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Webb has clinical interests in the following areas:

• Irritable bowel syndrome

• Functional gut disorders

• Clinical hypnosis

• Neuro-gastroenterology

• Group psychotherapy

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

• Mindfulness focused techniques

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Webb is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis and Chair of Publications at the Australian Society of Hypnosis. Her current research interests surround neuro-gastroenterology and clinical hypnotherapy.
