Dr. Ankur Dhar is an Australian-trained urological surgeon with expertise in uro-oncology, robotic surgery, kidney stone management, prostate disorders, and general urology. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Western Sydney in 2012, followed by a Master of Surgery from the University of Sydney in 2017. In 2023, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).
Dr. Dhar completed his urology training across New South Wales and subsequently undertook an accredited Uro-Oncology Fellowship at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in the United Kingdom. During this fellowship, he gained advanced experience in both robotic and open surgical techniques for the management of prostate, kidney, and bladder cancers, as well as complex robotic reconstructive procedures.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Dhar is actively engaged in surgical research and medical education, contributing to the training of future urologists.
He provides evidence-based, patient-centred care for individuals with urological cancers, kidney and ureteric stones, prostate conditions, and general urological disorders, combining surgical precision with the latest advancements in minimally invasive techniques.
