General Practice (GP)
About
Dr. Vowler is the founder of Hair GP, where she merges her general practice experience with her focus on hair loss solutions. Her role as a GP includes providing care at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability and she also manages a Youth Clinic for young people in Battersea.
She completed her GP training through the Kingston VTS Scheme, with placements at The Priory, Churchill Medical Practice, and Kingston Hospital. Dr. Vowler holds a fellowship from the Royal College of General Practitioners and earned her MBBS from St George's University of London, following a BSc (Hons) from Sheffield University.
In her specialised training for hair restoration, Dr. Vowler received mentorship from Professor Gambino, former head of the Italian Hair Restoration Society. Her approach to hair health is holistic, addressing both cosmetic concerns and underlying medical issues to identify the root causes of hair loss. Dr. Vowler integrates the latest techniques and considers psychological, medical, surgical, and social factors in delivering comprehensive and effective treatments for her patients.
At Hair GP, Dr. Amy Vowler combines expertise and empathy to support women with hair loss linked to hormonal issues. Her dual training in hair restoration and general practice allows her to offer direct advice and prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT), without needing external NHS GP consultations. This integrated care ensures comprehensive treatment in one convenient location, making Hair GP a leader in hair loss solutions. Choose Dr. Amy for a caring approach that prioritises your needs.
