Dr. Alina Vasilache is a Clinical Psychologist with a rich educational background and extensive experience in providing psychotherapeutic interventions. She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Malaga, Spain, and a Master of Science in Clinical Neuroscience from King’s College University in London, UK. She is also an accredited member of the Spanish Clinical Psychologist Society (Colegio Oficial de Psicologos Andalucia Oriental).
Before relocating to Dubai, Dr. Vasilache practiced as a clinical psychologist in Spain, at San Francisco Clinic. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse clientele from various cultural backgrounds, providing individual psychotherapy for adults, psychological assessments, and psychotherapy for children, couples, and families.
Dr. Vasilache's approach to therapy is flexible and tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. While she draws from various therapeutic orientations, she specialises in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is an active member of the multidisciplinary Eating Disorder team at the ACPN, where she implements evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive-Behavior Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E) and Family Based Therapy (FBT) for individuals of all ages.
In addition to her expertise in eating disorders, Dr. Vasilache is trained in Behavioral Activation for Depression and conducts group therapy for individuals struggling with Social Anxiety. She adopts a systemic approach when working with adolescents, involving the entire family in the therapeutic process. Her areas of focus include anxiety disorders, depression, personality disorders, addiction tendencies, OCD, couples therapy, bipolar disorder, and psychosis.
Above all, Dr. Vasilache emphasises the importance of establishing a genuine and supportive connection with her clients. She believes in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship and is committed to providing a safe and empathetic environment for her clients to explore their emotions and experiences.
