Mr Alfredo Tonsi

About
He completed his Higher Surgical Training in London and undertook further specialist training in complex anal fistula and inflammatory bowel surgery at leading centres including St Mark’s Hospital, St George’s Hospital, and St Thomas’ Hospital. Mr Tonsi is a nationally accredited colonoscopy trainer through the JAG Endoscopy Training System.
He is recognised as a senior colorectal surgeon with excellent surgical outcomes, as reported through the National Consultant Information Programme (NCIP). He currently serves as Surgical Lead for IBD at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Outside clinical practice, he enjoys football, cycling and walking in the South Downs, and opera. He is a season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove Albion.
