Dr Alfredo Hoyos is a world renowned Plastic Surgeon and innovator in the field of liposuction and body contouring. He is the inventor of High Definition Liposculpture (HDL), a technique that has revolutionised the field of body sculpting, and has trained surgeons from around the world in this procedure. In the UAE, he is based in Dubai and sees patients at Quttainah Specialized Hospital.
Dr Hoyos received his medical degree from El Rosaria University, Colombia in 1996 and completed his surgical training at the Saint Vincent de Paul University Hospital, where he served as Chief Resident. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the San Jose Hospital in Bogota, Colombia in 2001 and also holds a specialisation degree in Maxillofacial Surgery from Mount Sinai Hospital, USA (1999).
Dr Hoyos has published numerous articles in medical journals and has been invited to speak at conferences around the world. He has received numerous awards for his contributions to the field of plastic surgery, including the "Sculpture" award from the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in 2014. He holds professional memberships with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
In addition to his surgical practice, Dr Hoyos is a philanthropist who has dedicated his time and resources to improving the lives of children in Colombia. He is the founder of the Fundación Vida, a non-profit organisation that provides medical care and education to underprivileged children in Colombia.
Dr Hoyos is highly regarded by his patients and peers alike for his expertise, artistry, and commitment to excellence in plastic surgery.
