Dr. Flor engagiert sich in der Lehre und ist als Professor an der Benemerita Universität in Puebla, Mexiko, tätig.
Prof. h.c. Dr. Flor ist Mitglied in verschiedenen Fachgesellschaften, darunter die Österreichische Gesellschaft für Chirurgie, die Arbeitsgemeinschaft chirurgische Onkologie und der Berufsverband österreichischer Chirurgen.
