This specialised training focused on complex cases involving severe reflux and complex hiatus herniae, especially in lung transplant patients. Dr. Lorenzo furthered his training with the Australia and New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA) at Auckland City Hospital in New Zealand. This phase of his training concentrated on weight loss and revisional bariatric surgery, which is important for patients seeking surgical solutions for obesity.
Dr. Lorenzo spent two years in Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Liverpool Hospitals, where he received training in upper gastrointestinal oncology. This included the treatment of cancers affecting the oesophagus, stomach, pancreas, and liver.
