Dr. Aju Abraham John is a Consultant Neurologist at NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain. He completed his MBBS at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Medical College in Bangalore before obtaining an MD in Internal Medicine from J.S.S. Medical College, Mysore, in 2009. He later achieved his DM in Neurology from M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, in 2016.
Following his specialist training, Dr. John worked as a Consultant Neurologist at Manipal Hospital (formerly Columbia Asia) in Bangalore. He then gained further experience in the Middle East, holding positions in private hospitals in Oman and Abu Dhabi before taking up his current role in Al Ain. In total, he has more than five years of experience practicing as a neurologist in the region.
Dr. John’s clinical expertise covers a broad range of neurological disorders, including headache and migraine, neck and back pain, peripheral nerve conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia. He is also highly experienced in neurophysiology, performing and interpreting EEG and ENMG (nerve conduction studies and electromyography).
He is actively engaged in academic and professional development, regularly attending national and international conferences. His contributions to the field include over 18 neurology-related publications in peer-reviewed journals, along with presentations at medical conferences.
Dr. John is a member of the Indian Medical Association, the Indian Academy of Neurology, and the Oman Neurology Society. He holds valid medical licenses in India, Oman, and the UAE. He is multilingual and fluent in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada.
