Mr Afsal Moosa is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead Psychologist and Director at Betterly Wellness, as well as co-founder of Mind Weavers in Kozhikode. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2014 and went on to pursue advanced training with a Master of Science and Master of Philosophy in Applied and Clinical Psychology. In 2025, he earned his PhD in Psychology from the University of Bangalore, further strengthening his academic and clinical expertise.
His work spans psychotherapy, couple and family therapy, and neuropsychological rehabilitation, reflecting a broad and integrative clinical focus. He practices from an eclectic, client-centred perspective, drawing on approaches such as Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual.
He supports clients experiencing depression, anxiety, emotional and neurotic difficulties, as well as relationship concerns. In addition, he has particular expertise in neuropsychological conditions, providing cognitive retraining and rehabilitation for individuals with traumatic brain injuries, dementia, and memory or attention-related difficulties. His approach emphasises collaboration, adaptability, and meaningful, evidence-based change.
