Dr Adam Frankel is a General Surgeon with a PhD in the genomics of oesophageal adenocarcinoma. Their conjoint appointment with The University of Queensland allows them to combine clinical practice with research and teaching. Dr Frankel is the senior convenor of the General Surgeons Australia Queensland Core Course program. They are also an instructor for the Care of the Critically Ill Surgical Patient (CCrISP) course. Dr Frankel holds the position of Chair of Surgical Morbidity and Mortality.
Dr Frankel earned their PhD from The University of Queensland, where their research focused on the genomics of oesophageal adenocarcinoma. This specialised knowledge allows them to provide expert care to patients.
