About
Dr Alowaid is committed to the early detection and treatment of eye conditions in children. His expertise includes conducting vision screenings to identify refractive errors at an early stage and managing conditions such as lazy eye (amblyopia) and strabismus (eye misalignment). He also provides specialised care for congenital eye disorders, including cataracts and glaucoma, and follows up with premature infants to monitor for retinopathy of prematurity.
He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Dammam University. Dr Alowaid holds the Saudi Board in Ophthalmology and completed a fellowship at a highly specialised eye hospital.
