We were the first organisation to provide Open and Upright MRI scanning in England and are the leading specialist MRI service in the country. We are recognised as the leading centre for helping patients with special needs to
complete their scan and help them with their ongoing healthcare and treatment.
Our staff have the most experience in helping claustrophobic and anxious patients complete their scan in what can otherwise be a difficult event for patients elsewhere. We are also able to assist larger individuals who may not be able to comfortably fit in a conventional MRI tunnel as well as those who are unable to lie flat for an extended period of time. Patients are very welcome to come and see our scanner prior to their scan, sit in the scanner if they wish to familiarise themselves with it and discuss their anxieties with our experienced staff to alleviate any concerns they may have at that point.
Our Open and Upright MRI scanners are completely different from conventional‚ tunnel‚ MRI scanners as well as other so called‚ open scanners where you are still required to lie down. Our highly experienced team of doctors who provide the clinical report for patients includes the most experienced team of both musculoskeletal radiologists from The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust and neurological radiologists from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
We have extended hours of working during the week on selected days with early morning appointments from 9 am and scanning up to 6 pm in the evening.
