The Fitzrovia Suite seamlessly blends the intimacy of private maternity care with the extensive expertise of University College London Hospital (UCLH), a renowned NHS institution on a global scale. A chosen consultant, possessing profound expertise in obstetrics, remains a constant source of support throughout the entire pregnancy and birth journey.
UCLH, recognised as a leading research centre for foetal and maternal care in the UK, boasts consultants who are internationally recognised for their innovations in the field. Whether anticipating a straightforward birth or facing pregnancy complications, the consultant obstetricians are well-prepared to provide support for all birthing scenarios.
The Fitzrovia Suite accommodates both vaginal and caesarean births in their private delivery rooms and planned caesarean sections. Following childbirth, individuals can retreat to their private postnatal rooms, designed to offer a hotel-quality experience while adhering to the highest infection control standards for the wellbeing of both parent and child. The dedicated private midwives stand by to offer ongoing support for feeding and guidance, following the standards set by UNICEF's Baby Friendly Award.
Prioritising peace of mind, The Fitzrovia Suite provides immediate 24-hour access to specialist services, including the Special Baby Care Unit (SCBU), 32-bedded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and Adult Intensive Care Unit. Located within the hospital's "level 3" NICU and the specialist Foetal Medicine Unit (FMU), The Fitzrovia Suite guarantees access to expert care, even in the case of multiple pregnancies or complex needs.
