Conifer Lodge in Cambridgeshire is a service for men over the age of 18 years who are on the Autistic Spectrum or who have a learning disability. Service users may also have a mental illness or long-term physical disabilities. The service also provides respite care for anyone in the community who could benefit from a change of scenery and residents may stay either short term or for a more extended period of time.
Conifer Lodge offers 13 en-suite bedrooms and aims to rehabilitate patients to the point where they no longer require the service. In addition to focussing on self-care and daily living skills, service users are also encouraged to develop their confidence through pursuing new interests and activities. Residents' families are also fully involved in designing their own care plans and making decisions and, with the help of the team, are enabled to live the best lives they can whilst accomplishing more and more each day.
The staff at Conifer Lodge have extensive expertise working with people with learning Disabilities and treat each person as if they were a family member, ensuring they feel entirely at home and at ease. There are also additional services available on-site including Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Clinical Psychology.
The lodge is fully approved by the National Autistic Society to ensure that residents receive the best possible assistance and care.
