Thyroid TSH 4.5 — overtreating?

My TSH is 4.5, slightly above the lab's 4.0 cutoff. I feel fine. My GP wants to start levothyroxine. Is this subclinical hypothyroidism worth treating, or am I being put on a lifetime medication unnecessarily?
