Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Wilfried Lang ist Facharzt für Neurologie und Psychiatrie. Nach dem Medizinstudium absolvierte er seine Facharztausbildung an der Universität Wien. Seine Forschungsaufenthalte führten ihn an Universitäten in Rom, Paris und Vancouver. Die Habilitation von Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Wilfried Lang befasste sich mit der funktionellen Organisation der Gehirnrinde, insbesondere in den Bereichen Motorik und Gedächtnis. Sein klinisches und wissenschaftliches Interesse gilt seit jeher dem Schlaganfall und dessen umfassender Behandlung, von der Prävention über die Akutbehandlung bis hin zur Rehabilitation. Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Wilfried Lang ist seit vielen Jahren in der Österreichischen Schlaganfall-Gesellschaft aktiv und engagiert sich als Mitglied des Vorstands. Darüber hinaus ist Prim. Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. univ. Wilfried Lang seit 1999 als Schlaganfall-Koordinator der Stadt Wien tätig.
