About Mr Vanash Patel
Mr. Vanash Patel is a distinguished Colorectal and General Surgical Consultant with many years of experience. He specialises in robotic and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery for colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, and various perianal conditions such as haemorrhoids, anal fistula, and anal fissure. Additionally, he has significant experience in general surgical procedures including hernia repair. Mr. Patel graduated with an MBBS degree from St George’s, University of London in 2000. He pursued advanced training in surgery through the North West London Deanery, followed by two fellowships at renowned institutions including St Mark’s Hospital London and the London Colorectal Fellowship at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and University College Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Patel has made substantial contributions to the field of surgery through research and academic pursuits. He holds an MSc in Surgical Science and a PhD from Imperial College London. His research interests primarily focus on collaboration, leadership, and mentoring in healthcare. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications across various surgical disciplines and has presented his work at national and international conferences. Mr. Patel is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care, always prioritising the needs and well-being of his patients. He currently practises privately at Spire Bushey Hospital, where he collaborates with patients to develop personalised treatment plans. He also holds a consultant position at Watford General Hospital within the West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Mr. Patel is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and is also an honorary clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College London.
