About Tane Thomas
Tane Thomas is a Clinical Psychologist with a diverse and extensive background in the mental health and support sectors. He has worked in various capacities, including as a Lifeline crisis support worker, NDIS behaviour support practitioner, disability support worker, and youth worker with the Tasmanian Salvation Army. Tane has played a key role in establishing White Ribbon’s presence in Hobart, contributing to the prevention of domestic violence. Tane’s Master's thesis focused on the treatment efficacy for victims of domestic violence, reflecting his dedication to supporting vulnerable populations. He also brings international experience to his practice, having worked in Nepal to help rebuild a damaged orphanage, drawing upon skills from his earlier career in construction. With a keen interest in sports and music, Tane has completed tertiary-level studies in music and spent three years coaching a women's rugby team.
